两英社区即两英居民社区，位于汕头市潮南区两英镇镇区中心，是镇区的商贸中心，素有“小汕头”之称[1]。两英镇的名称即来自这里的圩市[1]。

名称与沿革[edit]

社区所在地早有集市雏形，林木茂密、常闻鸟鸣，称乌鸦圩、鹰圩，后形成新圩、老圩，改称两英圩，村与镇都以此得名[1]。据载，村落形成于明崇祯年间[1]。

旧时隶属潮阳县洋乌都；人民公社时期称居民大队，1986年设两英居委会，其后一度归陈库两英管理区，1999年恢复居委会并沿用至今[1]。

社区共4个居民小组、4273户，户籍人口9620多人，而常住人口只有2000多人；辖内有服装商场和肉菜市场，个体商铺280多家，卖服装、电器、鞋和日用百货[1]。广东省爱卫会在2023年5月授予它省卫生村称号（2022年度）[1]。
