岩前村在汕头市潮阳区西胪镇内八山区，在二战时期属革命老区，东与河溪镇华阳相接，面积4.874平方千米，有2044人、375户[1][3]。村址在一座岩寺之前，故名[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武年间（1368—1398年），祖先到此建村；1951年划归内八乡，1961年编为生产大队，1984年更名为岩溪乡，1988年更名为岩前管理区，1999年设村委会[1]。

经济与荣誉[edit]

耕地520亩、山地6568亩，以果林业为主；2013年村集体收入31.6万元，农民年人均收入5592元。2021年被评为广东省卫生村[1][3]。
