新华是汕头市潮阳区城南街道的社区，在主城区。它由新宫分出，形成新的聚落，因而取名新华。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立前在棉城南薰乡境内；成立后先并入新宫农会，1954年分出自立新华大队；1999年南门居民区拆分，新华才单独成立居委会，此前一直归南门居民区管。[1]
