金和社区属新津街道，1993年成立，原属陈厝合大队老西队片，名称取五行西属金之“金”与“和美”之“和”。[1]
概况[edit]
辖区东起庐山路、西到嵩山路、南抵长江路、北至泰和街，常住2210人，居委年收入约240万元，居民多住楼房。班子成员6人，党员56名，居民代表34名；设有村务公开监督小组、民主理财小组和老年人协会，还订立了村规民约。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代为澄海县蓬洲都辖地，民国属该县第三区。1953年设下蓬区陈厝合乡，之后随大队、公社的调整多次改隶。1992年7月，陈厝合村划归新津街道；1993年5月村委会被撤销，原村分设为6个居委会，本社区是其一。2002年起称社区居民委员会。[2]
