金港社区在新津河西岸，原是辛厝寮村的一部分，现为新津街道下辖社区。[1]

名称来自当地的寮后港：清乾隆年间附近村民迁到这里渔耕建村，村边的天然良港设有简易码头，用木船运货通商。曾叫辛厝寮村，后为其自然村。[1]
居委会1995年成立，四至为东面高速公路、西面泽湖、南面高埕、北面周厝塭，占地0.37平方公里；有340多户、约1500人，土地共427亩，含渔池150亩、耕地60亩和自留地72亩，居民多以务工为业。[1]
2019年9月公布的名单中，该社区入选广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代为澄海县蓬洲都辖地，民国属该县第三区。1953年设下蓬区辛厝寮乡，之后随大队、公社的调整多次改隶。1992年7月，辛厝寮村划归新津街道；1994年11月村委会被撤销，原村分设为9个居委会，本社区是其一。2002年起称社区居民委员会。[2]
