南碧埠社区属新津街道，是陈厝合片的社区之一，始建于清乾隆十四年（1750）。[1]

官埭的纪姓人家最初南下，在夏桂埔、周厝塭立乡，人口增加后又往南移居新津河口的沙洲。此地在上述二处以南，起名“南片埔”，后改用谐音“南碧埠”，含“南天碧地”之意。[1][3]
1993年5月成立居委会。辖区在泰山路之西、庐山路之东、黄河路之南，北面与14A工业区相连，约22万平方米；常住425户、2100人，分为4个居民小组，收入主要来自土地、厂房出租。社区内有1500平方米的文化广场，以及1600平方米的综合市场。[1][3]
历史沿革[edit]
清代为澄海县蓬洲都辖地，民国属该县第三区。1953年设下蓬区陈厝合乡，之后随大队、公社的调整多次改隶。1992年7月，陈厝合村划归新津街道；1993年5月村委会被撤销，原村分设为6个居委会，本社区是其一。2002年起称社区居民委员会。[2]
