金凤社区位于新津河西岸，是辛厝寮片最靠西的社区，名称取金港之“金”与龙凤之“凤”。[1]
概况[edit]
辖区东邻金津，西靠泰山路，南到珠津路，北接金龙，是辛厝寮片最西的社区，占地0.2平方公里，有耕地108亩，户籍人口1400人、常住720人。经济来源主要靠土地和临时厂房出租，每年80多万元。1995年居委会筹建了4栋村民安置住宅楼。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代为澄海县蓬洲都辖地，民国属该县第三区。1953年设下蓬区辛厝寮乡，之后随大队、公社的调整多次改隶。1992年7月，辛厝寮村划归新津街道；1994年11月村委会被撤销，原村分设为9个居委会，本社区是其一。2002年起称社区居民委员会。[2]
