佳和社区属新津街道，成立于1993年5月28日，前身是陈厝合大队的妈祖宫片（六队片）。[1]
概况[edit]
社区名由“佳”（善好之意）和老祠堂“益和社”的“和”合成。居委会设在黄山路北段，居住面积共14万平方米，居民1272人，八成人家自建楼房；辖区内有陈厝合小学、外来工立才小学及佳和农贸市场。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代为澄海县蓬洲都辖地，民国属该县第三区。1953年设下蓬区陈厝合乡，之后随大队、公社的调整多次改隶。1992年7月，陈厝合村划归新津街道；1993年5月村委会被撤销，原村分设为6个居委会，本社区是其一。2002年起称社区居民委员会。[2]
