金泰社区属新津街道，原辛厝寮村的一部分，名称取金港之“金”与临泰山路之“泰”。[1]

概况[edit]

居委会1995年建立，辖区约7.07万平方米，东面是火车站，南到长江路，西靠泰山路，北至仙乐药厂；237户、641人，收入以务工为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代为澄海县蓬洲都辖地，民国属该县第三区。1953年设下蓬区辛厝寮乡，之后随大队、公社的调整多次改隶。1992年7月，辛厝寮村划归新津街道；1994年11月村委会被撤销，原村分设为9个居委会，本社区是其一。2002年起称社区居民委员会。[2]
