金津社区属新津街道，由辛厝寮村的合仔墘自然村设立，名称取金港之“金”与新津之“津”。[1]

在2019年9月公布的名单中，入选广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代为澄海县蓬洲都辖地，民国属该县第三区。1953年设下蓬区辛厝寮乡，之后随大队、公社的调整多次改隶。1992年7月，辛厝寮村划归新津街道；1994年撤村设居时，以合仔墘自然村为基础成立金津居委会。2002年起称社区居民委员会。[2]
