新津街道是广东省汕头市龙湖区下辖的街道，位于龙湖区中部偏东，东面隔新津河，北至黄河路，南到珠池路，西起天山路，辖区面积7.22平方千米。街道办事处设在嵩山路89号的新津大厦。[1][2][3]

街道由原来的陈厝合、辛厝寮两个大村拆分、改设居委会而成，现下辖26个社区；据第七次全国人口普查，2020年普查人口12.23万人，在龙湖区各街道中排第二位。[1][3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，这一带属澄海县蓬洲都，民国时属澄海县第三区；1949年归澄海县第六区（下蓬）的官埭乡管辖。[1][5] 此后辖区内的陈厝合、辛厝寮两村几经改属，先后隶属官埭乡、红光公社、下蓬公社、官埭公社、珠池公社等，1984至1985年间划入汕头经济特区的珠池区。[5][6]

新津街道办事处成立于1992年。[2][4] 此后，陈厝合村于1993年5月撤销村委会，改设南碧埠、东新、佳和、东和、南和、金和6个居委会；辛厝寮村于1994年11月撤销村委会，改设金港、泽湖、高埕、东龙、金龙、金津、金凤、珠津、金泰9个居委会。2002年各居委会统一改称社区居民委员会。[5][6] 其余以“庄”命名的社区（绿茵、丽水、紫云、翠英等）因住宅小区而设，其中华新社区于2011年从翠英社区分出，充耀社区于2017年从紫茵社区分出。[3] 关于社区数目，维基百科的条目写作22个社区居委会，百度百科记2020年6月为26个，后者较新。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

街道位于韩江三角洲南部近海一侧，地面是韩江支流新津河冲积出的平原，境内只有新津河一条河流。台风是主要的自然灾害，据百度百科，年均影响2至6次，集中在7至9月。[1]

新津河是韩江西溪西岸的汊河，在汕头市区东部由南畔垨的新津河口入海，全长约14.8公里，是汕头重要的内河，兼作饮水、防洪排涝之用；龙湖区近年在沿岸建设了“一河两岸”景观和碧道。[7]

街道曾被评为广东省包装印刷专业镇（街道）。[3][4] 工业用地分布在珠津（省级民营科技园）、龙新两个工业片区，以及台商投资区、14A工业区和成德工业村；2006年全年，街道的企业产值合计11.09亿元，入库税收6333万元。[4] 百度百科另记，2011年规模以上工业总产值113.22亿元。[1]

博雅地名网称，汕头海关等机关，以及汕头火车站和汕头市汽车客运中心站这两处交通枢纽，都在街道辖区之内（百度百科则把汕头站的地址记在珠池街道）。[4]

百度百科记，2011年末户籍人口8.13万人；维基百科记2009年常住人口约8万；街道概况则称总人口8万多、常住人口4.2万；2020年第七次全国人口普查为12.23万人。几个数字的年份与口径各不相同。[1][2][3][4]

陈厝合与辛厝寮[edit]

陈厝合在街道西部，范围从泰山路到嵩山北路，包括南碧埠、东新、东和、南和、佳和、金和6个社区；百度百科称它是汕头规模最大的城中村，常住人口超过万人，流动人口约11万人。最初是官埭的纪姓和鸥汀的陈姓移民迁来聚居，后来演变成多姓杂居之地。1958年并为陈厝合大队，1994年撤村设居委会；街道曾在该片区划分29个治理网格，试行“网格化+楼长制”。[1][5]

辛厝寮位于街道东部，东临新津河，北接周厝塭，西抵泰山北路，因清代纪姓修筑堤围，又称纪厝围，现有人口7000余人，以纪姓为主，另有辛、吴、邱等姓。百度百科称其历史可追溯到北宋宣和三年（1121年），明嘉靖四十二年（1563年）划归澄海县；2019年开展城中村综合整治，每年农历正月廿一有英歌舞、潮剧巡游等民俗活动。[6] 街道今天的9个辛厝寮片社区，即由这个村分出。[3]
