河东社区是广东省深圳市宝安区西乡街道的社区，位于西乡河东岸，原为西乡村下辖自然村，1996年分设为村，面积0.6平方公里。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区位于西乡河东岸，故名河东。[1]

据社区材料，据社区材料，最早的村民从山西太原迁来，以温姓居多，后又吸纳外来住户，姓氏增至40多个。河东本是西乡村委会辖下的自然村，1996年12月西乡村委会一分为四（河东、河西、臣田、庄边），2004年农村城市化后叫河东社区居委会。[1]

地理环境与人口[edit]

社区在街道中心，面积仅0.6平方公里，东边是新安街道49区，南靠宝安大道，西隔西乡河，北抵107国道。2011年末户籍930人，暂住2万人。文化上以醒狮和温氏宗祠见称。[2]

河东股份合作公司2011年末总资产4.5亿元，股民680人。辖区有各类企业190家，工业厂房及商业面积20万平方米。[2]
