历史沿革[edit]
“龙腾”寓意神龙腾飞、吉祥如意。[1]
这片地方起初归西乡圩镇大队。1995年4月宝安区政府批准划分“西乡墟镇”，龙腾是新设的四个居委会之一（另三个为西乡、柳竹、龙珠）；2002年3月改称社区居委会，2004年7月加上“西乡街道”的冠称。[1]
地理环境[edit]
社区在西乡五十五区，总面积2.17平方公里，东临107国道，西接宝安大道，南面是乐群、共乐两社区，北面靠铁仔山。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
据百度百科，铁仔山古墓群位于龙腾社区铁仔山南坡；博雅地名网则将其记在臣田社区，二者说法不一。[3]
荣誉[edit]
司法部、民政部2018年7月表彰龙腾社区为「第七批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
