和平村是乳源瑶族自治县大桥镇的行政村，村委会驻地在镇域北部，与镇政府驻地相距20公里，到县城55公里。村下设8个自然村，共349户、2231人。[1]村名的来历：当年该地姓氏族派之间纠纷严重，成立大队时取名和平，希望不再因姓氏起争执。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国之初这里是和平乡，1958年成为和平大队；和平乡政府成立于1983年，三年后改称和平村委会，1989年又叫管理区，1998年恢复村委会之名，此后未变。[1]

经济[edit]

该村2286亩耕地、63860亩山林，种植以黄烟、蔬菜，玉米、水稻为补充；2008年村民人均年收入为3359元。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2019年9月入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名单」。[1]
