历史沿革[edit]
清道光年间称岗美坪；1930年改作江美、下坑二乡。[1]1954年改作江美农业社，1958年改作江美大队，1983年改作江美乡，1987年改作江美村委会，1998年起为江美村民委员会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村情介绍称，全村分为19个村民小组，居民合计2135人，山多地少，八成农户种沙糖桔；近年又以「红色村」党建为引领，发展肉鸽、茶枝柑等产业。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，江美被广东省文化和旅游厅认定为首批「广东省文化和旅游特色村」；2021年，江美被认定为第二批全国乡村治理示范村，民政部办公厅又确认它是村级议事协商创新的试点单位；司法部、民政部在2023年1月把它列入第九批「全国民主法治示范村（社区）」；2025年3月，它名列第七届「全国文明村镇」。[1]
