和平村为广州市增城区正果镇所辖的行政村，位于镇中部，镇区东南约5公里，有约2300人（450户），分14个合作社。^[1]

村名与历史[edit]

村名取自《汉书·王商传》中“政治和平”一语，寓意天下太平。^[1]最早在宋代就有人在此居住，元、明、清各代又有其他氏族迁入。^[1]

民国时期属增城县第三区平安乡；建国后先编入新五区的正南乡；1957年组建前进高级社，1958年改称和平大队；1983年撤社建和平乡，1987年初乡改为村，组建和平村委会。^[1]

县道293线（正畲公路）从村南通过，省道119线在村西经过；村内有村委会、小学、养老中心和祠堂。村民以农业和种植业为主。2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号，2024年11月被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。^[1]
