官道村是广州市增城区新塘镇中部、原沙埔镇范围的行政村，北接万田水库，南至石新公路；这里是早期留法学生吴秀峰的家乡。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网记，村中出过一位大官，皇帝赐了「逢官下马」的匾，此后到村道上的官员都下马步行，官道由此得名。[1]

民国时期属雅瑶乡官道村；1949年后属新七区；公社化的1958年划归仙村公社，到1961年才自成官道大队，1970年又并入雅瑶乡的长道大队，后来归仙村镇雅瑶村委会，1989年随沙埔镇独立而改隶。官道村民委员会是1990年才从雅瑶村委会分出来的；2004年沙埔镇并入新塘镇，官道村也随之归属新塘镇。[1][2]

人口与经济[edit]

村域面积博雅地名网记为249.02公顷，百度百科记为3平方公里；常住人口分别记为1975人和1916人。村分6个合作社，银沙工业园带来外来人口约5000人，村集体收入以出租用地为主，农业以荔枝、龙眼等果树为主。[1][2]

2019年9月，官道村列入广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

著名人物[edit]

吴秀峰（1898—1993）是官道村人，1919年公费赴法勤工俭学，在巴黎大学及外交学院学习法学，1927年获法学博士衔。他少年时住的老屋在官道中五巷，由澳洲华侨的父亲寄钱建成，距今约一百年。[3]
