甘涌村是广州市增城区新塘镇东南角的行政村，位于东江河畔，是明代学者湛若水（湛甘泉）的故乡，由沙贝古村十三坊里的甘涌、元岗两坊合成。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村子建在河涌边，那里的河水味甘，故叫甘涌。村域的形成可追溯到南宋。[1][2]

新中国成立前称甘涌，1951年土地改革时设甘涌乡，1956年成立甘涌高级社；1958年公社化时改称甘涌连，因村里驻有军队，实行军事化编制；1961年起称甘涌大队，1983年改为甘涌乡，1987年设甘涌村民委员会。[1]

文化遗存[edit]

百度百科称，村里的读岗公园是明代读岗书院的遗址，也是倡导乡村治理的《沙堤乡约》的诞生地；2023年11月，甘涌村入选《广州市地名保护名录（第二批）》。[2]

沙园街48号的新塘革命烈士纪念碑建于1980年，属2010年3月公布的第一批增城市登记保护文物。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

全村面积约3平方公里，常住505户，约1900人，外来人口约5000，村属10个经济生产社，集体收入主要靠出租土地和厂房，约200万元。[1]增城区人民政府的概况把甘涌村市级美丽乡村和滨江公园，列为新塘镇「百千万工程」的亮点项目。[4]

甘涌村于2025年6月获认定为广州市级美丽乡村（2024年度），2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
