夏埔村是广州市增城区新塘镇西南部的行政村，2020年由南埔村分设而来，位于东江河畔。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村址临水，当地习惯把水边的地方称「埔」；每到夏天，村民喜欢到埔口戏水，夏埔因此得名。[1]

夏埔原是南埔村里的一个自然村，南埔村民委员会设于1987年。2020年，南埔村民委员会分设为水南和夏埔两个村民委员会。[1]

博雅地名网在分设前的南埔村页面记，夏埔自然村有1092人。2024年11月，夏埔村入选广州市充分就业社区（村）。[1]
