瑶田村是广州市增城区新塘镇东北部的行政村，与官湖、塘美两村接壤，相传始建于宋初，初名金田。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子最初叫金田，相传始建于宋初；明嘉靖年间改称瑶田，取「琼瑶玉宇」之意。[1]

新中国成立前称瑶田，1951年土地改革后属瑶田乡，1956年设瑶田高级社，1958年为瑶田大队，隶属新塘公社；1983年改为瑶田乡，1987年设瑶田村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

湛横云夫妇墓在瑶田村东头社的丰冈嘴，属明代古墓葬，2008年12月公布为第七批广州市文物保护单位。[1]

荣誉[edit]

瑶田村在2020年至2022年的淘宝村名单上都有名字，2021年12月被广东省爱卫会授予广东省卫生村称号。[1]
