大敦村是广州市增城区新塘镇东南部的行政村，总面积约8平方公里，辖17个合作社，是以牛仔服装生产闻名的专业村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

传说这里是众龙聚居之地，村子原名龙田；明嘉靖年间，因村里有一座叫「敦厚堂」的大祠堂，改名大敦。[1]

新中国成立前称大敦，1951年土地改革时称大墩乡，1956年建大墩高级社，1958年为大墩大队，隶属新塘公社；1983年改为大墩乡，1987年设大敦村民委员会。博雅地名网的沿革文字里「墩」「敦」两种写法并见。[1]

经济[edit]

村里有牛仔服装企业七百多家，八成村民经营这一行，当地有「中国牛仔看新塘，新塘牛仔看大敦」的说法。博雅地名网记载，村常住人口7408人，外来人口六万多；集体经济收入1500多万元。[1]

村里获得过「乡镇企业亿元村」「全国民主法治示范村」等称号；2021年12月被广东省爱卫会授予广东省卫生村称号，2022年进入淘宝村名单。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

西道街18号的卢氏祠堂，明嘉靖乙未年（1535年）重建，五间三进，正门额匾相传为湛若水手书。它列入2009年9月公布的第四批增城市文物保护单位。[3]
