坭紫村是广州市增城区新塘镇中心城区东部的行政村，离镇政府和镇商业中心约1.5公里，面积2.3平方公里，是革命老区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的由来有一说：村子靠河，泥里混着各色沙粒，阳光下沙呈紫色，故名「泥紫」，后写作坭紫。[1]

明正德年间（1505年），苏姓的苏有忠、苏有义兄弟乘艇捕虾来到这里；蔡姓始祖由番禺新造乘艇漂流而至，吕姓始祖为避战乱从山西吕梁迁来，几姓先后在此建村。[1]

新中国成立初期属新二区，1951年土地改革后属新村头乡，1956年设坭紫高级社，1958年公社化后为坭紫大队，隶属新塘公社；1983年改称坭紫乡，1987年设坭紫村民委员会。[1]

革命历史[edit]

百度百科记载，中共增城敌后（沦陷区）县委机关在1942年7月至1944年12月间驻在村里，领导当地的抗日斗争；2021年，村里建成「增城区红色资源村党建示范点」。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

村有两个经济合作社，总人口1818人。东江及其支流环绕村庄，南面的江段可通行千吨货轮；广深公路和新塘大道平行穿过村域。保利房地产公司等企业已进驻。[1]

坭紫村在2020年至2022年的淘宝村名单上有名字。[1]
