继枚社区属荔城街道，位于增城区主城区，辖区内有继枚路。[1]

社区以继枚路得名。路名纪念黄花岗七十二烈士之一的增城人郭继枚，设立居民委员会时沿用了这个名字。郭继枚是增城福都（今福和）官塘村人，出生于马来亚霹雳州务边埠。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初期这里属县一区二村，后改称六村，50年代末同四村（今聚德坊一带）并为城镇公社和平大队。60年代初成为县城镇公社的二街道，1987年叫荔城镇第二街道居委会。1999年，凤凰山、西角巷等地被划出，居委会改名继梅居委会，2002年成为继枚社区。[1]
