瑞边村是狮岭镇下辖的行政村，在镇的东北部，北面是芙蓉度假区，东面是集贤村和花山镇紫西村。清康熙年间建村时，村在大布河边，称大水边，后取吉祥之意改称瑞边。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

瑞边农会设于1950年，1956年改为瑞边高级农业生产合作社。上世纪六七十年代，芙蓉嶂综合林场的场部设在这里，村曾称芙蓉嶂大队。1987年1月设立瑞边村委会，起初归芙蓉嶂区公所管，3月起改归芙蓉镇政府；2005年2月起，按粤民区〔2005〕10号文办理，改由狮岭镇管辖。[1]

人口民族[edit]

有489户、1556名户籍居民，外来流动人口约660（该页未注明年份），主要有钟、王两姓。[1]

经济[edit]

村北有山前大道，南有芙蓉大道。辖内有23家工业企业、3家饮食山庄，花木场占地130亩，玉米种了230亩；落户的单位有广州日报社乡村俱乐部、芙蓉度假村等。村民收入主要来自皮革加工。[1]

瑞边村连续三年（2020至2022年）列入「淘宝村」名单。[1]2019年9月、2020年12月先后列入广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2026年1月获认定为「2025年广州市充分就业社区」，并入选「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
