旗新村是狮岭镇下辖的行政村，在镇的东部，占地4平方公里。村名由旗善、新龙、新群合并为一个大队时，各取「旗」「新」二字而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1962年体制调整时，原旗善、新龙两个大队合并。1987年1月设立旗新村委会，起初归芙蓉嶂区公所管，3月起改归芙蓉镇政府；2005年2月起，按粤民区〔2005〕10号文办理，旗新村改由狮岭镇管辖。[1]

人口民族[edit]

有564户、1777名户籍居民，外来流动人口约1800（该页未注明年份）。主要姓氏有钟、罗、古、梁、陈、张、叶、马、曾、邱等。[1]

经济[edit]

村以工业为主，村民主要靠皮袋加工产业获得收入，落户企业52户。[1]

旗新村连续三年（2020至2022年）列入「淘宝村」名单。[1]2020年8月列入首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（绿萝）；2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2023年8月获评「2022年度广州市美丽乡村」；2024年11月获认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区」。[1]
