横坑村在花都区梯面镇西部，离镇中心5公里，面积9.6平方千米，下辖4个村民小组，户籍人口450人、230户，通往王子山的县道从村中横穿[1]。村名因村前有一条自西北向东南横过的山坑而来[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

梯面乡初建时，横坑列为八村，1958年改设横坑大队。1983年它和红山并成四和村，1987年梯面镇政府成立，横坑才单独设立村委会，先后归梯面区公所、梯面镇管辖[1]。

经济[edit]

村里有娃娃鱼养殖、桶装水、水电站等企业；村集体种了白榄450亩、樱花150亩，另有竹笋300亩、沙糖桔50亩。近年村里大面积种植桃花和樱花，以赏花带动村集体收入[1]。

荣誉[edit]

横坑村的称号有：「第一批国家森林乡村」（2019年12月）、「广东省卫生村」（2021年12月）、「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」（2026年1月）；2019年9月还列入广东省民主法治示范村创建名单[1]。
