横坑大队1969年建，1983年建乡政府，1984年起叫管理区，1998年建村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年3月，横坑村被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]
经济[edit]
街道办简介把横坑村列入街道创建成功的典型村，并提到横坑滨水公园是居民周末休闲的郊野公园。[2]
