历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历：旧时村里有一间染布坊，门前一大片平地用来晒布，人们称那里为“晒布岭”，后来取谐音叫作“大埔岭”[1]。乾隆年间（1736至1795年）已称“晒布岭”；民国时梯面设乡，分九个保，埔岭排第二保；新中国成立初梯面解放，埔岭属梯面二村，1951年划入梯南乡，1953年1月又划入四和乡[1]。
经济[edit]
村里有汽修、纸杯、高岭土、养鱼等企业；村民种水稻、花生，并借镇上的客家风味，做大盆菜和烧鸡，为乡村旅游提供餐饮[1]。
荣誉[edit]
埔岭村在2019年列入「广东省卫生村」名录，2021年11月获「广州名村」称号，2023年8月获「2022年度广州市美丽乡村」称号，2026年1月又获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。
