江村是广州市白云区江高镇下辖的行政村。村在江高镇，历史较长。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村原名莲花村，主要居民姓劳，后来姓江的人家大批迁入，改称江村。江村建于宋代。新中国成立以前，它属番禺县第九区，叫江村乡；1961年起称江村大队，隶属江村人民公社；1985年镇社合并，江村归江高镇，成立江村村委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

辖区面积约9平方公里，耕地一千一百多亩，户籍居民共8216人，农业人口占5566人。[1]

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网转载的资料，江村有「三大公司一市场」作经济支柱，即江丰实业、江村经济发展公司、江村建筑工程公司，以及农贸市场。2005年全村经济总收入12.38亿元，比上年增加1.791亿元，增长16.91%。[1]

文化[edit]

2020年8月，江村以蔬菜入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村；2020年至2022年列入淘宝村名单；2017年10月获「第一批广东省卫生村」称号。江高镇的概况介绍把江村黄鸡列为本镇特色农产品品牌之一。[2][1]
