历史沿革[edit]
村边有大小山岗，与田螺打雾岗连成一片，是流溪河一线最南端的山岗，村名由此而来。1949年以前，南岗村与三元岗村合为南岗社；1958年改设南岗大队；1984年称南岗乡；1987年起设南岗村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
广清高速公路南北向穿过村境。全村面积5平方公里，耕地167公顷，包括三元岗、南岗两个自然村，共13个经济合作社。本地户籍居民3463人（2005年末），外来人口2000人。[1]
经济[edit]
据博雅地名网转载的资料，2005年全村工农业总值6468万元，工业2220万元，农业2804万元。耕地较多，以蔬菜种植为主，另有鱼塘1300多亩。2020年8月，南岗村以花卉入选首批「广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」。[1]
文化[edit]
村内的周汝钧故居建于明嘉靖年间，是三间两廊的青砖建筑，硬山顶，两侧是锅耳形封火山墙，下砌红砂岩石脚。周汝钧的祖辈周日新是道光年间的进士，周汝钧本人于光绪十八年（1892）考中进士，一座老屋出了两位进士，当地称为「公孙进士」。南岗村2020年至2022年列入淘宝村名单，2021年12月获「广东省卫生村」称号，2024年6月又列入「2023年度广州市美丽乡村」名单。[1]
