平岗村在莫村圩镇一带，面积约10平方公里，辖19个村民小组，农业人口3121人。[1]名称缘于过去的大队、乡政府都设在平岗村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初是一个乡，1958年为平岗大队；1984年起为村委会，1986年改管理区，1998年又恢复村委会的名称。村先前归古有镇，古有镇在2002年并入后，改隶莫村镇。[1]

经济[edit]

辖区盛产沙糖桔、贡柑和巴戟，也适宜发展渔业与种植业。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村口的忠良第一泉是一口古井，建于宋元祐七年（1092年），井后立石刻有「忠良第一泉」和年号，在2022年7月列入第十批广东省文物保护单位名单。据博雅地名网和百度百科，它是德庆县至今发现的最古老的水井。[2][3]村里还有然藜书室，为德庆县文物保护单位，属古建筑，清嘉庆年间所建，2001年8月23日公布。[4]
