历史沿革[edit]
郭姓人家聚居于此，村前有一口水塘，故名郭塘。郭塘村建于明初。解放初期它归和风乡（番禺县第九区），1951年改设郭塘乡人民政府；1962年成立郭塘大队；1987年设郭塘村委会，属神山镇；2004年神山镇并入江高镇，郭塘归江高镇管辖。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村面积约5.4平方公里，设1个经济联合社，下设21个经济合作社，本地户籍居民4557人，耕地1600多亩。[1]
经济[edit]
2020年8月，郭塘村以水产养殖入选首批「广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」。据博雅地名网转载的资料，全村工农业总产值16771万元。[1]
文化[edit]
郭塘村在2021年12月获「广东省卫生村」称号，2025年6月被认定为「2024年度广州市级美丽乡村」。[1]
