历史沿革[edit]
据《顺德县地名志》转引，此地原为江边荒地；元末兵乱，李、康、郑等姓村民避居江畔，靠捕鱼度日，慢慢形成村落。[1]1950年归江南乡，1958年建大队，之后改乡、改村，1990年叫江村管理区，1998年改设村委会。[1]
经济与社会[edit]
2014年有户籍770户共2904人，外来人口约8300；全村股东2733人，每股分红500元。[2]2009年，1100多亩村地被政府征用，江村由此成了完全征地的村；现有厂企约160间；工业区约占地1500亩，涉及家电、五金塑料、铝板加工等行业。[2]村与上涌村联办上江小学。[2]
