龙湾村位于南山镇北部，面积为2.0986万亩，共368户、1718人，下辖2个自然村。村名取山清水秀、地势平坦之意。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网引述，村庄山清水秀、土地平坦，四野开阔，因而得名，被看作藏龙卧虎之地。明洪武元年（1368年）属普安里，清代沿袭。民国时期属大凤镇，称龙湾保，1946年改属凤山镇；1949年属第二区龙湾乡；1958年称龙湾大队，1984年改为龙湾村村民委员会，1992年归南山镇。[1][2]

1946年底，地下工作人员在龙湾一带活动，并在衫口尾设立联络站，联系迪口一带的地下组织。1947年，建瓯县游击大队在龙湾设立；1987年，村被认定为老区村。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

龙湾旌表节孝牌坊为清代建筑，列入2012年名录。[3]
