南塘村在南坑镇西北部，距镇政府约5公里，是革命老区村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名取自驻地南塘自然村的名称。[1]

此地先前是南坑乡的塘山保。新中国成立后，它归南靖县第七区管辖，名为南坑乡塘山村。1958年公社化后，此地成为南坑公社的南塘大队；1984年，乡改设南塘村委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

南霞县道和山梅公路穿村而过，距县城14公里。全村国土8.5平方公里，海拔在45至750米之间，气候属南亚热带季风型，年均降水量1750毫米。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

全村有农户364户，乡村人口1283人，所载年份未注。[2]

经济[edit]

全村耕地500亩，林地12000亩，农民收入以种植业为主。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，南塘村被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。南坑镇率先在全省试行集体林权改革，南塘村与新罗村即是其中的两个试点村。[1][3]
