得名[edit]
村境内畲地多，约占总面积的七成，故名。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年成立农会；1951年起称上下畲乡；人民公社化时与高坑并为高联大队，至1963年分开，各自成大队。1983至1986年称新南乡政府，1987年设管理区，1999年改为村民委员会。[3]
