地名由来[edit]
相传先祖在半岌山脚开基，后山竹林茂密，村名取此。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
竹岌在1949年设乡；公社化后（1958年）为竹岌大队；1986年起设管理区，1999年起设村委会。[1]
概况[edit]
据百度百科，村域面积4平方千米，分7个村民小组，户籍人口369人，耕地约500亩，梅州金柚是主要作物；2020年农村经济总收入为599万元。[2]2017年10月，竹岌村获第一批广东省卫生村称号。[1]广东省公布2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单时（2019年9月），竹岌村名列其中。[1]
