地名由来[edit]
1808年前后，溪边生长许多桃树和李树，岸上有一座桃培宫，三个邻近自然村的信众都来此烧香。建国后宫庙拆除，地名改称桃培，后来桃培、高塘、李塔合并，称桃溪村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
桃溪在1952年先归松源区，1956年转属桃尧乡；1958年入梅东公社，1961年改归新建的桃尧公社；此后设桃溪管理区（1986年），再设村委会（1999年）。[1]
荣誉[edit]
桃溪村于2017年10月由广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予第一批广东省卫生村；2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。广东省公布2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单时（2019年9月），桃溪村名列其中。[1]
