地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，一百多年前村中一座「公王」庙是附近乡人拜神、集会的地方，因当地没有学堂，乡人就在庙中办学，此处被称为人和约，学校办成后称人和小学，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
人和在明代归程乡县万安都一图，清代是锦州堡下的人和约；1931年成第十二区人和乡，1952年成丙村区人和乡，1956年并入锦州乡。此后它转入丙村人民公社，1987年设管理区，1999年设村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
人和三堡学堂建于1905年，占地约3亩，建筑一千多平方米，回廊环绕的四合院，瓦木结构。叶剑英少年时在1908年至1912年间就读于此。2016年6月29日，梅州市人民政府将它列入第四批梅州市文物保护单位。[2][3]
