银竹村是梅州市梅县区丙村镇辖下的一个行政村，村名取自传说中的竹、梧桐和银矿。[1]

博雅地名网载，据传这里曾盛产竹子和梧桐，又有银矿，所以得名银竹。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
银竹在明代归万安都一图，清代归金盘堡，民国时在第十二区。新中国成立后先后属丙村区金盘乡（1950年）、银田乡（1952年）、梅县金盘乡（1956年），1958年入丙村人民公社。1987年设管理区，1999年设村委会。[1]
