沙四村紧邻沙浦圩镇，下辖5个村民小组。据博雅地名网，元至元二十二年（1285年），梁氏从南雄珠玑巷迁来建村。^[1]农会领袖陈进出生于此。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

元至元二十二年，梁氏人家由南雄珠玑巷迁此建村。1953年归第八区沙浦乡管辖，1959年2月编为沙四大队，1986年称沙四村，1988年3月划归鼎湖区沙浦镇，1998年10月起设沙四村民委员会。^[1]

全村336户，1246人，党员20名，耕地2720亩（博雅地名网，未注明统计年份）。以种植肇实为主，兼种蔬菜、香蕉并养鱼；辖内建有香蕉示范基地1000亩、剑花基地130亩，另有兰花场20亩。^[1]

陈进（1875年—1927年），又名陈启星，生于沙四村，后迁居沙三新村；出身贫苦，1926年沙浦农会成立后任主席。^[1]

2019年9月，沙四村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2022年8月，被确定为「2022年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。^[1]
