沙浦社区是沙浦镇的镇中心区。社区成立于1981年，当时属高要县沙浦镇，2002年起称沙浦社区居委会。[1]

社区设于1981年，隶属高要县沙浦镇；1988年3月高要县拆分，改属鼎湖区沙浦镇；2002年称沙浦社区居委会，沿用至今。[1]
名称由来[edit]
社区所在为西江下游的冲积平原，邻江，早年多沙滩草洼；“浦”字指水滨，居民因此叫它沙浦。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，沙浦社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
