历史沿革[edit]
北宋以前已有人定居。据村内天后庙的牌匾和石碑，这里曾称“锦水”“中江”；因水路便利，往广州、大良、伦教的船常取道此处，河称涌，遂称众涌。[1]民国时归众南乡，1953年称众涌乡，1960年建大队，之后改乡、改村；1998年6月，众涌与塘利两个管理区合并，成立众涌村民委员会。[1]
经济与社会[edit]
2014年村民1943户，户籍人口7605人，外来务工经商人员18000多人；村内企业158家，工业产值8亿元，农业用地4272亩。[2]村设众涌、塘利两个股份合作社，各每股分红2000元；福利会给中考、高考成绩好的本村学生发奖学金，年满60岁的老人每月可领50元生活补贴。[2]
文化[edit]
天后古庙已有七百多年历史，门前有两根盘龙石柱；村内另有桑市公园，保留古石120多块、古树4棵，用以重现昔日桑市。[2]每年举行的飘色巡游，由孩童扮作历史故事人物坐于花车上，配以醒狮和八音。[2]天后宫的建筑规模见勒流街道条。[3]
荣誉[edit]
众涌村是2021、2022年的淘宝村；2019年9月，又进入2018年省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位的名单。[1]
