历史沿革[edit]
村名取自河水由南流来之意，宋朝开村。[1]1952年归入江南乡，四年后随该乡并进众冲乡，1958年独立设南水生产大队；八十年代乡、村委会、管理区的名称几度更换，1999年成立新一届南水村委会。[1]
社会与人物[edit]
村内有古庙祠堂五座、百年古树十数棵，清代画家苏六朋、苏腾蛟是这里出的人物（据博雅地名网转载的介绍）。[2]2014年全村662户，户籍2617人，耕地2400亩（含鱼塘1400亩），分8个村民小组；工农业总产值2.3亿元，股份分红为每人每年2940元。[2]一环南延线与珠二环高速的大立交位于南水，村被评为佛山市四星级健康村。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2026年3月，南水村获认定为广东省第三批百千万工程典型村。[1]
