新明村是佛山市顺德区勒流街道下辖的行政村，设在街道的中心城区，周围是黄连、江义、上涌、江村等村居，全村面积1.72平方千米。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
宋朝起有人在这片河边沙滩定居，旧称“镰刀洲”，后改称新明，寓向往新生、光明之意。[1]建国初归大晚乡，1958年入大晚大队；1961年另立新华大队，两年后叫新民大队，1982年才取名新明大队。[1]此后改乡、改村，1999年设村民委员会。[1]
经济与概况[edit]
村由接龙、新龙、余家、兴聚、长兴、万安、永安东、永安西8个村民小组组成，耕地470亩，鱼塘802亩，常住人口6090人（其中户籍2490人，外来3600人）；2014年全村2236股，每股分红1500元。[2]村内工业主要做小五金配件和塑料家电，农业以加州鲈、生鱼养殖为主。[2]新明已创建为省卫生村，也是2021、2022年的淘宝村。[1][2]
