大井社区是汕头市金平区鮀莲街道下辖的社区，在金平区西北部，大学路的南面，南边是牛田洋，东接玉井社区，西邻天港社区。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
元至正二十一年（1361年），福建漳浦一带的村民为避乱南迁，在此落脚建村。村里当时只有一口井，位于原双宫前巷的拐弯处，井大水旺，供全村共饮，村名由此而来。[1][2]
村民起初兼营种植和渔业，其中的渔业部分在1977年划出为双丰村。1970年设大井大队管理委员会，1986年1月改村民委员会，1996年12月改称居民委员会。[2][3]

区域面积1.5平方公里，土地多为沙田、塭田，耕地710亩。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2009年有1218户，共4516人，分成4个居民小组。[1]
经济[edit]
居民以农副业、海水和淡水养殖、海捕为主，也有外出务工的。[1]
文化[edit]
大井社区是省爱国卫生运动委员会2017年10月评出的「第一批广东省卫生村」之一。[1]
