天港社区是汕头市金平区鮀莲街道下辖的社区，居委会的办公地址在港中东路3号，位于金平区西南片，紧邻牛田洋。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村子原名泊仔，相传创于明嘉靖二十二年（1543年）。当年林姓渔民在此结为兄弟，赶上正月十六夜，指天为父、指地为母，改泊仔为天港。[1]辖区此前归升平区鮀浦镇管，1996年12月撤镇后归鮀南街道，2001年12月随街道并入鮀莲街道。[1][2]
地理环境[edit]
辖区面积2.8平方公里，与牛田洋相邻。1962年广州军区围垦牛田洋之后，村里的种植业有了较大变化。[1][2]
人口民族[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，辖区人口1949年为两千多人，该页成文时已超过六千人；另一组较早的统计是5504人，农业户口占4824人，其余680人为非农业户口。[1][2]
经济[edit]
居委是纯农居委，有耕地2236亩、鱼池850亩。2009年集体经济总收入130万元，支出94万元，居民人均收入4008元。[1]2020年8月，天港社区（番石榴）列入首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。[1]
文化[edit]
「民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位名单中有天港社区，该名单为广东省2018年度评选、2019年9月公布。[1]
