历史沿革[edit]
清代隶新会县潮居都；民国三十五年（1946年）隶新会县第八区大沙乡。1957年上栏、下栏、石龙、三湾四村并为中联乡；1961年属新会西安公社；1966年改名朝阳大队；1981年改为下栏乡；1986年改为下栏村，属莲溪镇。[1]
2019年9月，下栏村在广东省2018年“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位名单中；2023年11月进入广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村。[1]
