地名由来[edit]
最早是黄、梁两姓人家迁来捕鱼虾、种菱角而成村。村里出产的粉葛、菱角粉质足，在港澳和江门一带有名，村因此叫粉洲。[1]水网密布，禾虫和鱼虾也多。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1740年隶新会县潮居都；民国时隶新会县睦洲区；建国后归横粉乡，即新会县第八区；1965年起划入斗门县，属上横人民公社；1985年并入上横镇；2003年莲溪镇与上横镇合并，村命名为粉洲村民委员会。[1]2019年9月，粉洲村在广东省2018年“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位名单中。[1]
