地名与沿革[edit]
村原名东升里，曾用名“西安八社”。1950年改名东安，与邻村西宁相呼应，寓意两村共同安宁。[1]当时隶新会县第八区西安乡；1965年起称东安大队，隶属斗门县西安公社；1984年起称东安乡，属莲溪区；1986年改东安村委会；2003年起归莲洲镇，2005年由斗门区民政局命名。[1]
